1. Controller

<ul><li>Account data: Email address, password (stored as hash by Firebase Auth)</li><li>Profile data: Business name, description, tagline, service category, years of experience</li><li>Contact data: Phone number, VAT/business ID</li><li>Location data: Service area, service location coordinates</li><li>Media: Profile photo</li><li>Activity data: Bids submitted, jobs accepted, messages sent</li><li>Financial data: Lead transaction history, Stripe payment references</li></ul>

2. What Data We Collect

<ul><li>Account management: To create and maintain your account</li><li>Service delivery: To connect customers with matching service providers</li><li>Marketplace matching: To show relevant jobs based on category and location</li><li>Payment processing: To process credit purchases via Stripe</li><li>Communication: To facilitate messaging between customers and providers</li><li>Legal compliance: To meet Finnish business record-keeping requirements</li></ul>

3. Why We Collect It

We process your data based on:<ul><li>Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): Processing necessary to provide the JARD service</li><li>Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): Platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement</li><li>Consent: Where explicitly requested (e.g., marketing communications)</li></ul>

4. Legal Basis

We use the following third-party processors:<ul><li>Firebase (Google): Authentication, database (Firestore), file storage — servers in EU (europe-west1)</li><li>Stripe: Payment processing for credit purchases</li><li>Google Maps Platform: Location services for service area matching</li></ul>

5. Data Processors

Firebase data is stored in EU servers (europe-west1). Stripe may process payment data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. All transfers comply with GDPR Chapter V requirements.

6. Data Transfers

<ul><li>Account data: Kept while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.</li><li>Financial records: Kept for 6 years after the transaction as required by Finnish accounting law (Kirjanpitolaki).</li><li>Messages: Deleted with account deletion.</li></ul>

7. Data Retention

Under GDPR, you have the right to:<ul><li>Access: Request a copy of your personal data</li><li>Rectification: Correct inaccurate data</li><li>Erasure: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")</li><li>Restriction: Limit how we process your data</li><li>Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format</li><li>Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interest</li></ul>To exercise these rights, contact info@jard.fi. PRIVACY POLICY

JARD is an online marketplace operated by Yardscape Oy (Business ID 3579881-7, Mikael Lybeckin tie 4 B, 02700 Kauniainen, Finland) that connects customers seeking home services with independent service professionals ("Providers"). JARD does not perform any services itself — we provide the platform that facilitates the connection between customers and Providers.

1. About JARD

To use JARD as a Provider, you must create an account with a valid email address, business name, and service category. Provider accounts receive 2 free leads upon registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

2. Account Registration

Providers pay a lead fee when a customer accepts their bid. Key terms:<ul><li>Lead fees are charged when a customer accepts your bid, not when you submit it</li><li>Bidding on jobs is free</li><li>Lead fee = 10% of your quoted price (€10 minimum)</li><li>Fees are charged to your saved payment method via Stripe</li><li>New accounts receive 2 free leads</li></ul>

3. Lead Fees

As a Provider, you agree to:<ul><li>Provide accurate and truthful business information in your profile</li><li>Hold any licenses or certifications required for your service category</li><li>Deliver services professionally and as described in your bid</li><li>Communicate respectfully with customers</li><li>Not circumvent the platform to avoid credit charges</li></ul>

4. Provider Responsibilities

As a Customer, you agree to:<ul><li>Provide accurate job descriptions</li><li>Pay the Provider directly for completed work (JARD does not handle job payments)</li><li>Communicate respectfully with Providers</li></ul>

5. Customer Responsibilities

JARD does not process payments between customers and Providers. Customers pay Providers directly for services rendered. JARD charges Providers a per-lead fee via Stripe when a customer accepts their bid. All payment processing is subject to Stripe's Terms of Service.

6. Payments

JARD owns all rights to the platform, including its design, code, and branding. Users retain ownership of content they submit (profile information, messages, photos). By submitting content, you grant JARD a license to display it on the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

JARD is a marketplace platform. We are not a party to any service agreement between customers and Providers. JARD is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided. We do not guarantee that Providers are licensed or insured.

8. Limitation of Liability

JARD may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the platform. Users may delete their account at any time by contacting info@jard.fi. Unused free leads are forfeited upon account termination.

9. Account Termination

JARD may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Changes to Terms

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
